You certainly cannot miss the modern façade of glass and mauve colors at 329 Pleasant Avenue. In the heart of East Harlem, on a tree-lined street, this boutique rental building consisting of 20 units from studios to two bedrooms is brought to us by HAP Investments and designed by Karim Rashid. The Pleasantville area of East Harlem is still faithful to Old New York, with a lot of neighborhood parks and shops, and is also near to Costco, Target, a Planet Fitness, and the subway lines.
Just as the exterior, the interiors have a cutting-edge flair as well. All of the units are terraced, and the ground floor two-bedroom gets exclusive access to a huge backyard. All rentals have custom tiled floors made of a German manufactured laminate. There are beautiful linear, angled lines on these tiles that are laid out to help the “flow” of each apartment. The all-white kitchens feature a Blomberg appliance package and Caesar Stone countertops. An Electrolux washer/dryer package is standard, and each unit has its own water heater.
The bathrooms are the real star of these apartments. Super modern, open, and white, they possess some great design details. Pocket doors on both ends open to bedrooms and living rooms. The open shower concept is great, and apartments come standard with Grohe fixtures, rain shower heads, and even have a hand held. There are lots of closets in the units and large walk-in closets—even in studios. Video door buzzers also come standard in each apartment, and the units are Smart wired.
There are some excellent amenities for a boutique offering including a bike room, additional storage, and a fantastic common roof. The views from the rooftop deck offer stunning 360-degree views of Manhattan along with seating/lounge chairs.
East Harlem is an up-and-coming neighborhood in NYC, and 329 Pleasant Avenue is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
