The Twenty1, located in the heart of Chelsea (at 117 West 21st Street), is a boutique 12-story project with nine apartments developed by The Amirian Group. All units are four bedrooms, with two penthouses and a maisonette. Located on 21st Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, in the heart of one of the most sought after neighborhoods in the city, this location cannot be beaten. David Amirian has done an excellent job with the development regarding location, building, and interior architecture and design.

A beautiful façade composed of mocha cream limestone and bronze anodized aluminum windows blends in with the area’s classic architecture and stands out with subtle elegance. The floor-to-ceiling windows not only provide for a beautiful façade from the outside but allow for plenty of natural light to penetrate each unit.

INCREDIBLY SPACIOUS

All of these units are laid out gallery style. The large open layout of the kitchen, living and dining rooms is very generously proportioned at 28.5 feet by 17.5 feet. The kitchen can also be closed off with solid wooden pocket doors on the main entrance and hidden cabinet doors on the other entrance. The kitchen package is top-notch with two Sub-Zero fridges and accompanying Miele package. The kitchen range vents out as does the standard Bosch washer/dryer. The design theme running through these units is “the bevel.” All cabinet pulls are flush bevels and even the trim and baseboard all match this beveled theme. The kitchen has integrated oak cabinetry with black painted glass upper cabinets equally balanced and framed out with warm oak. This creates a clean kitchen design. An ample kitchen island with ¾” thick quartzite countertop centers the kitchen with light champagne bronze hardware.

The master baths continue this beveled theme with a custom medicine cabinet made of polished gunmetal in a beveled design containing lighting with a shelf placed perfectly in the center. I give this master bath a very high ‘niche factor’ for its double niche in the wet room. Dornbracht fixtures throughout match the floor to ceiling silver travertine walls and floors. In addition, there’s radiant floor heating throughout every room with white oak flooring, and all units are prewired with your choice of either the Savant or Creston system.

The penthouses are both duplexes. The maisonette is three levels with an enormous outdoor patio with an outdoor countertop running the full length of the patio and owner’s choice of a barbecue grille.

This boutique building is designed for privacy. The two most important amenities that are offered are the most valuable for any development. The first is parking. Underground self-parking in the heart of Chelsea in your own building. The second is a personalized concierge for each family unit. Worldwide lodging, travel, hospitality, and customized itineraries are just some of their specialties. They also have access to ticketed events and exclusive experiences. It certainly is an appropriate amenity for this offering.
