MANHATTAN VIEWS AT MiMA

By Daniel J. Bollinger

Introducing Manhattan Views at MiMA, a two tower construction in Hudson Yards which include rentals and from floors 51 to 63 condo units. There are studios to three bedrooms available all with plenty of views, 421a tax abatements, and a private entrance at 460 West 42nd street. Kuafu Properties and SCG America identified a need in the condominium market for well-priced, well laid out units that don’t compromise on design. Capitalizing on the strength of the condo market, the co-developers seized the opportunity to purchase the top portion of MiMA—a tremendously successful development built and managed by Related Companies—and bring to market a collection of condominium residences with exceptional 360-degree views. Kuafu & SCG have done an excellent job. MiMA stands for the Middle of Manhattan and Manhattan Views, well, that’s self-explanatory.

SPACIOUS LAYOUTS
All of the units feature open kitchen/dining/living rooms and almost floor to ceiling windows. Boasting an all Gaggenau kitchen with a range in the kitchen island, the kitchens are well designed with Dornbracht fixtures and polished white Carrera marble counters. Jamie Drake was hired as an interior designer, and you will see some of his custom designed fixtures in the bathrooms in addition to a very deep marble encased soaking tub. You have a few different color palettes in the master bathrooms to choose from; a beautiful design detail is the functional ledges in the powder and secondary bathrooms. Bosch washer/dryers come standard throughout and the units are smart wired with Nest app-monitored temperature control, smartphone-enabled door locks and a built-in Neutron Pro iPad intercom system. There are full housekeeping and valet services offered.

ON THE PLUS SIDE
The units are competitive with the luxury market, but it is the 44,000 square feet of amenities that take this offering to another level. Let’s start with the two resident lounges, one has a game room with billiards table, and the other has a fireplace. There are plenty of outdoor decks and a plethora of private barbecue stations which offer private settings. There is a business center with nine apple computers, a copy machine, kitchenette with vending machines and a complimentary coffee station. A screening room with plenty of seating, karaoke room, and golf simulator. One of the finest amenities offered is a private Equinox Gym for residents only; there’s a 75’ lap pool. There is a yoga room and a children’s playroom that is larger than most. Third party parking is available for the building. There’s more: A very impressive full commercial kitchen available for two party rooms. The party rooms have an additional kitchenette, TV’s, and outdoor grilling stations attached for inside/outside events. Manhattan Views can also boast being one of only seven buildings in Manhattan that have a regulation sized basketball court with two scoreboards. The sheer size and amount of amenities are incredible, but an impressive detail in the amenity spaces are the fingerprint technology installed on entrances.

LUXURY LIVING
Manhattan Views at MiMA is an impressive luxury development. Located in Hudson Yards on the edge of Times Square, offering great views in all directions, wonderfully spacious and well laid out floor plans, and more amenities that one can count.
