Sensible Design In Murray Hill

Located in Murray Hill, The Lindley is comprised of 74 studio-to three-bedroom residences. This 20-floor building is brought to us by CBSK Ironstate with Rawlings Architects and Design Within Reach. The units are well-laid out with no wasted space and there are very nice mixtures of textures and design choices within the residences.

INTERIORS
Open kitchen, dining, and living rooms are featured in all units utilizing a variety of materials. In the kitchens there are integrated cabinets on the Wolf and Sub Zero appliances with white frosted glass upper cabinets. There is a nice contrast with quartz backsplashes and counters. It is a nice multiple contrast of colors and textures. Except for studios, kitchen units have breakfast bars and wine fridges. Residents will find ample pantry space, a deep stainless steel sinks and Grohe fixtures.

The baths continue with this mixed textured design. All studios have showers; one bedrooms have either a shower or a tub; while two bedrooms have a shower in the master bath and tubs in the secondary bath. Calcutta marble tiled walls and encased tubs contrast the Terrazzo gray floors. A nice design detail are the large custom medicine cabinets, with a great ledge below with cove lighting. There are nice niches and rain shower heads are standard.

The well-designed residences are all smart-wired and feature pocket doors to make the greatest use of space. Built-out closets are standard, and with large windows for plenty of light and views. The windows exceed standard R-value codes. Seven units have private outdoor terraces including two penthouses.

AMENITIES
The Lindley has plenty of amenities including a 24-hour door attendant and a live-in super. There is also a fitness center with Techno gym equipment and resident lounge located on the second floor. Bike storage is available and a laundry room with industrial washer/dryers (Bosch washer/dryer comes standard in all units). The best amenity is a large rooftop lounge with grilling and dining area and incredible skyline views.

The Lindley is a sensibly designed building with incredible interiors. It is a welcome addition to Murray Hill. The property offers a 421a tax abatement.
