World class tennis comes to the Bronx this summer

with the New York Empire and World TeamTennis!

WTT, founded by Billie Jean King, has been an institution since in the professional game since 1973. It offers a fun, fast, and fresh take on the sport, with a unique scoring format only found in its league. Teams of men and women compete side-by-side in singles, doubles and mixed doubles each night and every game counts.

American tennis stars John Isner, Sloane Stephens, Venus Williams, and Mardy Fish - plus the season's No.1 draft pick Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium, returning veterans Neal Skupski and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, and big-serving, fast-rising Ulises Blanch - will descend on the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis & Learning in Crotona Park from July 14-31 to chase the league's ultimate prize: the King Trophy!

WTT returns to New York with NYC’s pro tennis team featuring competitive tennis, your favorite pros, non-stop action, music and a taste of Arthur Avenue. The Empire will play seven home matches and seven on the road in its quest for the WTT Championship, with themed nights celebrating both tennis and the community planned over the course of the season.

With tickets starting as low at $10 for youth and $25 for adults, WTT offers unprecedented access to some of tennis' biggest stars. There is an electric atmosphere at each match unlike any other tennis event you have ever attended and cheering for your hometown team is certainly encouraged. From pro-am and other VIP experiences, to pre-match activities, contests on-court, and autograph sessions with kids ages 16 and under after every match, WTT is a fun night out that the whole family is guaranteed to enjoy.
