Years ears in the making and hugely anticipated, Versante Hotel—Greater Vancouver’s first new luxury boutique hotel in years and the first hotel of its kind in the city of Richmond—finally opened its doors to the public.
Every detail at Versante has been carefully considered, from innovative technology to vibrantly colored interior design, to provide the most unique and captivating hotel experience in the region. “Having spent almost 20 years managing boutique hotels in Canada and the U.S., I can’t overstate how special a property Versante is,” says General Manager David Curell. “In a region crowded with branded hotels, we’re proud to be Richmond’s only independent boutique hotel, and locally owned and operated. As a result, our guests are independent spirits who seek out fresh and innovative experiences everywhere they go.”
DAZZLING FEATURES
Versante is a design hotel celebrating Asian and Western influences. Housed in Richmond’s sparkling new International Trade Centre, the 14-story glass façade features View Smart® tinted windows for optimal daylight and privacy. The lobby dazzles with vibrant colors and iconic furnishings, including a handcrafted chinoiserie carpet by Andy Dixon, a charcoal sculpture of local topography by Marie Khouri, and a custom pink reception pod. Artwork by Canadian artists is featured throughout the hotel, including prints in all guestrooms by Kathy Slade and Andy Dixon.
Versante has 100 guestrooms and suites boasting five bold décor themes—developed by Vancouver-based CHIL Interior Design—each evoking a distinct personality. Wallcoverings, fabric selections, and furniture colors create an immersive experience within each room scheme. In addition to either two luxury queens or one king-size bed, each room features contactless check-in/out, room entry, and lighting controls via the Versante App. The app also allows for contactless room-service ordering, as well as connecting with the Versante guest-services team.
Additionally, guests will find complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi with unlimited bandwidth; 24-hour room service; spa-inspired bathrooms featuring the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, large rainforest shower with heated floor; and, in most guestrooms and all suites, a freestanding soaker tub, and many other luxuries. Red Flower bath amenities are exclusive to the hotel and supports biodegradable, vegan, and cruelty-free products.
Situated in Richmond, Versante is only 20 minutes from Downtown Vancouver and mere minutes from Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The city of Richmond was cited by The New York Times as having the best Asian food in North America—so you can discover incredible culinary experiences just steps away. World-class shopping, golf, recreation, gaming, and much more are also close by.
DINE WITH THE BEST
Versante is home to one of Vancouver’s hottest new restaurants, Bruno, featuring dishes with hyper-local ingredients such as Oyster Shellfish Caviar and Truffle Lavender Duck. Led by a team of industry veterans, the restaurant boasts incredible family-style share plates and delicious destination-inspired craft cocktails, each working in tandem with one another to take guests on a culinary journey featuring the best of British Columbia. Directly influenced by the farmers and artisans that supply their ingredients, no two Bruno dishes are the same, and the always-changing menu keeps things fresh, fun, and always in season.
There is also the Versante Bar, a sophisticated lounge offering delectable small plates and classic cocktails by night. Being in the heart of Richmond, Versante is close to other trending restaurants in the area.
