PEDDLER’S VILLAGE
A Merry Season Awaits All
Peddler’s Village has been a favorite destination for visitors since 1962, attracting young and not-so-young with 21st-century shopping, dining, lodging and family fun with 18th-century ambiance. But when the holiday season arrives this gets even more festive, featuring a million twinkling lights, holiday shopping, a gingerbread-house competition and display, visits from Santa and so much more. Just minutes from New Hope in scenic Bucks County, Peddler’s Village is an easy jaunt for day-trippers. It’s super accessible by car and just 90 minutes from New York City. Set in an 18th-century Colonial-themed village, this entertainment-dining attraction affords guests plenty to do with open-air shops, a variety of quaint restaurants, and even an antique carousel.
For a true weekend getaway, book a stay at the charming Golden Plough Inn, characterized by cozy fireplaces, quilts, and window seats overlooking ancient oak trees. All accommodations at the Inn are beautifully decorated in warm neutral colors with accents of green, blue, and red. Many suites and guest rooms have four-poster beds and gas fireplaces. The Village offers plenty of dining options from casual to upscale. The focus is The Cock ‘n Bull which serves American classics including Chicken Pot Pie and Beef Burgundy in a comfortable Colonial setting. Aside from featuring a fine menu, the restaurant also features historic art and antiques.
