You can’t go wrong with the Jersey Shore if you’re looking for a classic summer getaway. This iconic stretch of coastline along the Atlantic Ocean in New Jersey has been luring families, couples, and adventurers for generations with its sandy beaches, fun-filled boardwalks, and endless opportunities for fun in the sun! One stunning area is Wildwood. You’ll find miles of sandy coastline perfect for spreading your towel and soaking up some rays. And while the beaches are the main draw, the lively boardwalks add to a Jersey Shore’s endless amusements and entertainment.

One such place is Morey’s Piers, where you will find coastal splendor and fun and exciting attractions to please all ages. Nestled along the bustling boardwalk of Wildwood, New Jersey, Morey’s Piers has been a beloved seaside destination for generations of vacationers. With its towering rides, classic games, and mouthwatering food stands, this iconic amusement pier has captivated visitors with its timeless charm and endless excitement.

A BRIEF HISTORY
Morey’s Piers began modestly with Surfside Pier, which opened in 1969. The Morey brothers, driven by a vision of creating a family-friendly entertainment hub, started with simple attractions like a giant slide and a haunted house. Over the decades, however, their vision expanded dramatically. Mariner’s Landing Pier followed in 1976, and Adventure Pier was added in 1983. Each pier brought new thrills and experiences, helping to cement Morey’s Piers’ reputation as a premier destination.

The expansion of Morey’s Piers mirrored broader changes in American culture. With their expansive beaches and burgeoning boardwalk attractions, the Wildwoods became a magnet for vacationers. Morey’s Piers capitalized on this trend, offering an accessible and varied entertainment experience that catered to all ages.

THE PIERS: RIDES & ATTRACTIONS   Morey’s Piers boasts an impressive array of over 100 rides and attractions, ensuring something for everyone. The Adventure, Surfside, and Mariner’s Amusement Piers offer rides like the iconic Giant Wheel, which provides memorable ocean views. This 156-foot Ferris Wheel, a symbol of Morey’s Pier, offers a serene counterpoint to the park’s adrenaline-pumping attractions.

· For thrill-seekers, head to the Surfside Amusement Pier for several heart-pounding rides. The Great Nor’easter, a suspended looping coaster, challenges riders with its high-speed twists and turns. Want more fun? Then head to the Doo Wopper for a wild ride through zigzag turns and undulating hills on this version of a classic wild mouse coaster.

· Over at Adventure Amusement Pie, prepare your engines for some thrills at Grand Prix Raceway. Are you ready to fly? Daring guests love the Skycoaster, which simulates the sensation of hang gliding. And don’t miss the Screamin’ Swing, a giant swing that propels riders high above the boardwalk.

· At Mariner’s Amusement Pier, make it a point to ride the Sea Serpent, the first boomerang coaster on the East Coast. It continues to thrill with its forward and backward loops.

WATER PARKS
Two world-class water parks, Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis Water Park, complement the amusement piers. These water parks provide a refreshing escape from the summer heat, with attractions designed to appeal to both thrill-seekers and those looking for relaxation.

Raging Waters, located on Mariner’s Pier, is known for having attractions the whole family can enjoy. The Sky Pond Journey, a unique water ride, takes guests on a winding river journey that culminates in a splashdown. Shotgun Falls offers a thrilling drop into a large catch pool, and the Speed Slides twist and turn while riders go head first on a mat, are favorites for those seeking high-speed excitement. Shipwreck Shoals and Kamp Kidtastrophe are interactive play areas which provide a safe and entertaining environment for younger guests.

Ocean Oasis Water Park, situated on Surfside Pier, offers a more tranquil setting with a tropical theme. Guests can relax in private cabanas or float along the Lazy River. While relaxation options abound, the Cliff Dive, a steep and exhilarating slide, is a standout attraction for those seeking a thrill. Ocean Oasis also features a swim-up bar and a variety of dining options, making it a perfect spot for adults to unwind.

These acts provide a festive backdrop to the rides and attractions, enhancing the overall guest experience.
