Texture is another key element I focus on, with smooth surfaces mixed with tactile fabrics like bouclé, velvet and linen. These fabrics add variety and make spaces feel more welcoming. I like to layer textures thoughtfully, balancing smooth and rougher materials to add depth. Floral prints are also making a comeback in 2025, showing up in art, comforters, wallpapers and upholstery. These patterns bring color and energy to a space and pair perfectly with earthy tones and warm neutrals to create a cozy, comfy look.

For 2025, I’m seeing a retro-inspired palette of bright colors — yellows, greens and pinks — adding a fun twist to the usual earthy tones and warm neutrals. This “retro funky” style is especially appealing to younger homeowners who want to make a bold statement. Paired with materials like velvet and brass, these colors bring a fresh, eclectic vibe to interiors.
