Emanuel New York Marked Its First Anniversary With Fashion And Fragrance

By Norah Bradford

Victor dE Souza and Dustin Lujan welcomed guests to Emanuel New York for an intimate Midtown celebration honoring the boutique’s first year as a destination for couture, fragrance, skincare, and personal luxury.

Emanuel New York celebrated its first anniversary with the kind of intimate, stylish gathering that reflects the boutique’s growing place in Manhattan’s independent luxury scene. Held Friday, May 1st, 2026, at the Midtown shop on West 39th Street, the evening brought together fashion, fragrance, beauty, and New York society for a toast to the boutique’s first year.

Fashion designer Victor dE Souza and co-founder Dustin Lujan, a longtime beauty industry veteran, welcomed VIP guests and industry friends for a festive evening that blended cake, couture, fragrance, and celebration. Located at 329 West 39th Street, Emanuel New York has quickly positioned itself as a destination for those drawn to highly personal luxury: niche fragrance, skincare, clothing, accessories, and a retail experience shaped by taste rather than trend.

The anniversary event honored Emanuel’s first year as a Midtown boutique with a celebratory cake, brief remarks, and a special presentation marking the milestone. A citation from New York State Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright was presented to Emanuel, recognizing the boutique’s contribution to New York’s creative and retail landscape.

For dE Souza, whose design work is known for couture craftsmanship and a dramatic New York sensibility, the evening reflected the natural connection between fashion and fragrance. Emanuel New York is not simply a store, but an extension of a point of view—one that treats scent, beauty, and clothing as parts of the same personal language.

That identity has helped the boutique stand apart. Emanuel New York highlights itself as “the home of ultra niche,” offering a curated mix of distinctive fragrance houses, fashion-forward pieces, skincare, and accessories. It is also the exclusive New York City home of City Rhythm perfumes, giving fragrance lovers another reason to seek out the Midtown address.

A highlight of the anniversary celebration was the debut of the boutique’s signature fragrance, “Emanuel New York,” created by Niles Ramadhin in collaboration with City Rhythm Perfumes. The scent was introduced alongside two complementary creations: a matching body oil crafted by sKIn and a hand-poured candle by Beyond the Light Candles. Together, the trio extended the fragrance experience beyond perfume alone, turning it into something more personal, tactile, and atmospheric.

In a special anniversary gesture, Boutique Italiano also produced an exclusive commemorative candle gifted to attendees, adding another thoughtful detail to an evening centered on craft, collaboration, and community.

Notable attendees included Victor dE Souza, Dustin Lujan, Niles Ramadhin, Heilei Sahar, Jessica Moore, and New York State Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright.

At its heart, Emanuel New York’s first anniversary was more than a retail milestone. It was a statement of momentum for a boutique building its own identity in the heart of Manhattan—one rooted in couture sensibility, niche fragrance, personal luxury, and the kind of creative energy that continues to define New York style.
