hiTechMODA Showcases International Designers at NYFW

By Lillian Langtry

New York Fashion Week brought another wave of international creativity to Manhattan as hiTechMODA Productions returned for its 16th season, transforming the iconic Edison Ballroom in Times Square into a showcase of established designers, independent labels and emerging runway talent from around the world.

Under the direction of founder and executive producer Pamela Privette, the two-day event featured nine fashion presentations, bringing together a diverse collection of designers whose individual aesthetics reflected the evolving landscape of contemporary fashion.

A GLOBAL STAGE FOR CREATIVITY
Since its inception, hiTechMODA has built its identity around providing designers with opportunities to present their collections on a prominent New York Fashion Week platform.

Rather than concentrating exclusively on established fashion houses, the production emphasizes creative diversity, welcoming independent designers and emerging talent alongside recognized industry names.

The season 16 lineup reflected that philosophy, offering audiences a varied presentation of styles, perspectives and creative approaches.

Among the participating designers were Marc Defang, who showcased across 10 runways, BEYOU BY SUSHMITA, Glamour Girl Boutique, Stacey Mitchell Designs, Mitch Desunia and Anagiamx.

The presentations also featured Kat Couture, Enhle Babes Couture, RasaNari, House of STL, Madame VIP, Shrijilmist and Paaie, and Alonso Maximo Couture.

Adding to the lineup was special guest Justin Haynes, a designer associated with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).

Together, the participating labels demonstrated the breadth of talent within the independent fashion community and the importance of providing opportunities for designers to connect with new audiences.

MORE THAN A RUNWAY SHOW
The Edison Ballroom provided an energetic setting for the presentations, combining the atmosphere of a New York landmark with the excitement of Fashion Week.

Set design by Rhoslyn Florist helped establish the visual environment, while DJ Regina supplied the music. Special performances by DXO Collective and Alexandra Starr added another creative dimension to the two-day production.

For Privette, the event’s purpose extends beyond presenting collections. It is equally about creating visibility for designers working to establish or expand their presence within the competitive fashion industry.

“hiTechMODA is about opening the runway to extraordinary creative talent and giving designers the opportunity to be seen on a New York Fashion Week stage. My designers are the best in the industry, and my lineup shows their power and presence in the independent industry,” said Privette.

CELEBRATING INDEPENDENT FASHION
As New York Fashion Week continues to attract designers and audiences from across the globe, productions such as hiTechMODA offer an additional platform for individual expression and emerging creativity.

With its 16th season, hiTechMODA reinforced its commitment to bringing international talent together, demonstrating that fashion’s future is shaped not only by established names, but also by designers finding new opportunities to share their visions.
